Due to its strict enforcement of the community gating, many celebrities, professional athletes, and executives choose to call The Colony home.  There are no condos in The Colony, only single-family homes. Living in The Colony makes you feel as if you are out in the middle of nature, yet it is so very convenient to all that Park City has to offer.  Strategically located halfway between Old Town Park City and Kimball Junction, all of the incredible restaurants and shopping are just a quick drive away in either direction.  The Salt Lake City International Airport is just about a 30-minute drive.

The Colony | Park City Luxury Estates

The Colony is a true ski in/ski out community.  Of the estimated 274 homesites, nearly all of them have direct ski access to and from the property.  About 70% of the lots have already been sold and approximately 90% of the land will be preserved for open space.  The Colony is one of the few developments that allow for a separate guest home to be built on the same lot as the main residence. Residents of The Colony partake in the exclusive skiing privileges of the five-star Canyons side of Vail’s Park City Mountain Resort.   Skiing is at its best with over 400 miles of single-track trails and the 26-mile Mid-Mountain Trail.  Unlike some of the other resorts, snowboarding is allowed at The Canyons Resort.  Located in Phase 4E of The Colony, the Quicksilver Gondola (an 8-passenger gondola) connects the Canyons and Park City Mountain Resorts.  Skiers are dropped off at the Miner’s Camp Restaurant.  There are actually 10 lifts that are located within The Colony: Tombstone, 9990, Peak 5, Day Break, Dreamscape, Dreamcatcher, Flat Iron, Timberline, Iron Mountain and Quicksilver Gondola.

During spring, summer and fall residents can enjoy the miles of hiking and biking trails taking in all that nature has to offer.  Don’t be surprised if you see many deer, elk and moose along your journey.  The Utah Olympic Park, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics and many Grand Prix events is a close bike ride or drive away where you can visit the Olympic visitor’s center and take in a summer Olympic ski team practice or even a summer bobsled ride.  There are many things to do at the nearby Canyons Village to include restaurants, shopping and summer concerts.  Needless to say, living at The Colony at White Pine Canyon is everything you could hope for and more.
